love robots
I think that this was a very good video. I enjoyed the music and the message it gave. There were many persona displayed as well. Some were really funny (i.e. the man with the claw). Nevertheless I give it a 5/5. The discussion after was very interesting especially when the guy said how they did try to capture the people’s different persona—kinda funny how it also corrolated with their different view.
Nevertheless, as to do with robot’s capability to love. I think they will be able to love in the sense of being attracted to another BEING. But this love will not have meaning behind it—as the humans do. This will cause a problem because when artifical things start being attracted to a certain species, then reproduction will diminish—however that won’t be a problem once human cloning becomes legal

Dear Steve,
Whats up…lol just kidding (I am posting a comment on my post).–anywayz I just wanted to comment that cloning will add a very interesting dimension to AI. Imagine combining these two entities and creating a better form of intelligent life. Nevertheless, it will be subject to the handicap we all face in our language–> when we can truly express our Mentalese to its fullest extent. However, there are intuitional thoughts (kind of like another form of sight we all hold). Some religious people or jus people like to call it the “third-eye”—>can robots or clones have this “third eye” (skeptics may think this is fishwash, but I am just throwing another possible variable into the mix). A robot, with a third eye and ability to clearly relate with our minds may not be as far as we imagine.

i think that robots will not be able to love. I did my midterm of the relationship between human love and robot love. Love is a human characteristic. As humans we can fall in love with robots but this type of love is asymmetrical to human love in the fact that when a human falls in love with another human they can both love eachother. However, if a human falls in love with a robot, that love is not reciprocated back from the robot.
